The Working Class Movement Library in Salford has launched an appeal to help raise the shortfall in their funding.  Reduced financial support from Salford Council means that they need to raise £86,000 each year to maintain the exciting impetus of their increase in visitors over the last few years.

  • A leaflet promoting the appeal is available below.  The Library is happy to send out copies of the leaflet. Let them know how many you’d like.

  • If you have a Web site or email bulletin and can include a link to our fundraising page at www.wcml.org.uk/appeal that’d be great too.

  • The Library is always pleased to offer someone to come and speak at union branch meetings, so contact WCML if that’d be of interest.

Any other offers of support/publicity will be gratefully received.  Contact Lynette Cawthra, Library Manager, Working Class Movement Library, 51 The Crescent, Salford M5 4WX . Tel: 0161 736 3601  Fax: 0161 737 4115 ,  www.wcml.org.uk

You can also become a Friend of the Library.  Friends are invited to regular events at the Library and
receive the quarterly newsletter Shelf Life.  Annual membership is just £10.

www.wcml.org.uk/wcml/support.htm gives more details. To receive news about the Library subscribe to the e-bulletins at www.wcml.org.uk/enewsletters
