Last night was the annual Peterloo concert, highly symbolic as it commemorates people who died for our freedom many years ago. It had a mixture of music, poetry and some light speeches, being compered by Kate Richardson from Manchester TUC. Tony Lloyd MP gave a nice talk on its historic importance. There was some lovely music from Claire Mooney, some very profound poetry from Dave Puller and finally a group called Our Morals who did some songs I remember from years ago, very well. Our colleagues from RMT displayed their banner which features Peterloo and I ensured TSSA's flag appeared predominantly.
